Bring your own picnic lunch, drinks and chairs and rugby/soccer/Frisbee etc. for kids to

knock around. Picnic from noon until 14h30, leave for rink to get to Acacia Ridge by 15h00

PARENTS VERSUS KIDS EVENT

Sunday, September 25 at 3.30pm @ Acacia Ridge

A parents versus Blizzards kids hockey game is planned for 25 September. This is a chance

to let your kids show how much better you are than them – or not. Share and participate in

the passion. Helmets, shin, elbow pads and gloves are the minimum. Skates are available at

the rink.

BRISBANE JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP IS EXPANDING

The Brisbane junior hockey scene has grown considerably this past season. We are attracting the interest of many new players by the week, and retaining them due to the dedication and quality of Coaches Gregor and Terry. We now have at least 3‐4 levels of skills (young Squirts, novice Atoms, intermediate Atoms & novice Peewees and intermediate Peewees).

We now have four new coaches produced in a 2‐day course 2 weekends ago (Laz Fodor, Terry Kiliwnik, Stan Kinash and Chris Pitre) to share the load of coaching, we are planning practices for the next season and to accommodate the range of player abilities.We also have new linesmen from the Blizzards community produced at this past Sunday’s course:

Sunday 9th October 2011 End of Season Wet ‘n’ Wild

An end of season day at Wet ‘n’ Wild has been organised for the Grizzlies and Southern

Stars/Blizzards to build on our friendships and common goals to bring back medals from next year’s

Tournaments!!! There will be a BBQ on site, and volunteers to help man the BBQ and make this a

great day for all are appreciated. On top of the entry, we can also go to Movieworld after 3 p.m.
